His second visit to the United States lasted five years, as a 2003 - 2008 graduate student in Statistics at the University of Washington, from which institution he has earned a Master in Statistics and a Certificate in Forensics. Marios Pavlides, an Anastasios G. Leventis Postgraduate Fellow, obtained his PhD in Statistics in June 2008 and under the supervision of Professor Jon A. Wellner, University of Washington.
Marios Pavlides undertook undergraduate studies at the University of Cypruswhere he graduated as the University Class Valedictorian in July 2003 and with a Ptychion in Mathematics and Statistics. His first visit to the United States of America was made in the summer of 2002, where he participated at the "Future Global Leaders Summer 2002" program on "Global Peace and Conflict Resolution'' in Washington D.C., hosted by the American University, and funded in full by the AMIDEAST and FULBRIGHT.
